5 km from our hotel is the town of Schwetzingen - the "Pearl of the Palatinate". It's especially famous for its excellent asparagus and its
baroque castle
and the beautiful
castle gardens
(similar to the gardens in Versailles). It has been the summer residence of the prince electors in the Palatinate. In the anual festival, the castle's Rococo Theatre stages plays, opera performances and concerts take place here.

In the 2000 year old town of
Speyer,
well known for its historic city, the
Imperial Cathedral
was started in 1061, and can be reached easily from the hotel in 20 minutes.
In the historic center of Speyer is also the
Historic Museum of the Palatinate
which is known for its changing exhibitions.

on the Neckar along the Heidelberg Castle and other fortresses are very lovely.

in Sinsheim and Speyer shows historic, racing and sports cars, as well as steam trains, aeroplanes and other technical equipement - about 3000 pieces in 10 halls and outside exhibits.
The IMAX 3D-Cinema shows impressive 3D-films on a 20x26 meter screen.
